Do you fancy yourself as the next Spielberg? Think Scorsese got it wrong? Well, now is your chance to show the world how it’s done with the New Inside Out Video Lesson Competition. Each month we will be providing a new theme for a short video clip that can be used for teaching English, and will be inviting submissions. The best submissions will win a prize and be made available for download on this site!

Submission Guidelines

April Theme: Festivals and Traditions

The Facts:

  • Your movie must follow the general theme of Festivals and Traditions.
  • Movies must be no longer than 3 minutes in length and the accompanying worksheet should be no longer than 1 A4 Page.
  • Your movie must be accompanied by a worksheet (in Word format) with activities for students to do either before, during or after watching the video.
  • Movies can be submitted in a number of file formats: WMV (Windows Media), MOV (Apple Quicktime), RM (Real Media) and FLV (Flash Video).
  • You will retain copyright, but give Macmillan permission to make your videos freely available for download on our websites.
  • The prize will be a set of 3 books from the Macmillan Books for Teachers series.
  • The closing date for April's competition is 30th April 2007
